1. Who we are
NexaMart (www.nexamart.ng) is an online marketplace in Nigeria operated by Nexalog Ecosystems. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and web apps, why we collect it, and your choices. Contact: support@nexamart.ng.
2. Data we collect
Account data: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored encrypted). Google sign-in data: if you choose "Continue with Google", we receive only your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account — we do not access your contacts, Gmail, Drive or any other Google data. Order data: delivery addresses, products ordered, order history, payments and order status. Content you provide: reviews, ratings, favourites, chat messages with merchants and support conversations. Merchant data: business name, contact details and bank details for payouts. Technical data: device and browser type and basic usage logs needed to keep the service secure.
3. How we use your data
To create and secure your account; to process orders, payments and deliveries; to send order confirmations, delivery updates and account emails; to let merchants fulfil your orders; to provide customer support, including our AI support agent; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to improve the marketplace. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use Google user data for advertising.
4. Sharing
We share only what is necessary: merchants receive your name, phone number and delivery address for orders you place with them; our payment partner processes payment details; our hosting, database and email providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose data if required by Nigerian law.
5. Google user data
NexaMart's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used solely to sign you in and set up your NexaMart profile, and is not transferred to third parties except as needed to provide this feature or as required by law.
6. Storage and security
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls so that each user, merchant and support agent only sees what they are permitted to. Product images are stored privately.
7. Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Order and payment records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes. Other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
8. Your rights
In line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time. To delete your account and data, email support@nexamart.ng from your registered email. You can also remove NexaMart's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
9. Children
NexaMart is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy and will show the new date on this page. Last updated: October 2026.
